Why did he kill himself?
Genuine question. I feel bad for him and Aubrey Plaza and their families, but why do you guys think he did it? They were separated for months prior to his death.

There was some rampant hollyweirdness going on in that situation

>Plaza keeps playing up the bisexual slutty personality
>is cucking him openly
>all of his projects are tied to Allison Brie

Either they all had some sort of swinger open marriage situation going on and he couldn't keep up with their whoring or feelings got in the way.
Plus they're all likely cokeheads anyway and barely have their shit together

Aubrey's star was actually rising pretty steadily around the time of his death. She's always been a meme actress, but she has had a comeback as of late.

With it, you saw her a lot more at private events and parties. Going out in public with her "guy friends". Even a 3some with Brie/Franco doesn't surprise me.

Untrue. She gets steady work in quirky chungus projects and her latest "big movie" was Megaflopolis where she played a secondary character.
She's fairly irrelevant but has a niche in indie projects and sitcoms/dramedies, but even then she wasn't rising for sure.

The most confusing suicides to me are these people who "have" everything. Not just materially, like a good job and whatever, but like good looks, social confidence, company and companionship, access to sex and the prospect of having kids and family and a legacy. I can only fathom being suicidally depressed from a perspective of lacking all of the things that make life meaningful. I don't know how you can have all of those things and still want to kys.

I'm a miserable POS who hates his life, dreads going into any job, generally feel like shit, have no hope for my future, and I very rarely have feelings of truly wanting to kill myself, almost never.

Have thoughts about suicide more or less daily but almost never actually feel like I'm close to doing it.

She was finished with the relationship and had moved on, even though they were still married and they still had a house together. Its only a real problem when they offer some stupid advice, like the whole "dude you're gonna die anyway just go rob a bank and do drugs and bang whores... " pasta thing. It betrays a naivete. The truly suicidal don't want good food or their dick sucked, what they want most in the world is to not live another second, so they go after what they desire.

It's fucked up that you have to go to reddit TMZ in order to comment on their articles. TMZ (a news outlet) censored itself by removing comments forever. A fandom that they themselves cultivated.

That's kind of what Aubrey did. By distancing herself from the suicide (murder), she removed blame from herself. Right? Self censorship. Nobody needs to know what she did or nor should anyone discuss it.

I have all those things (other than good looks) and dream about it all the time. I was just in the basement picking up a calendar I printed out and looked up at the joists and thought it would be a nice place to nail a rope and hang myself. It's tall enough that I couldn't go back. I've seen plenty of videos of people hanging themselves and they go pretty quick right after the inital spaz out. I could just leave a note on the basement door and nobody in the family would have to see me with piss and shit in my pants.

A lot of people are tired. The constant tension of weathered relationships, responsibilities, expectations from others and yourself, and watching things you care about get older, fade and die. It's tiring. There's something comforting about death and taking your own life, and not dying on some bed when you are old and decrepit.

Regret is the big one. Maybe the other path would have led to happiness. Who fucking knows. I did everything "right" in life. I have a somewhat stable job, good money, awesome kids, but I never really turned out to be someone I'm proud of. It doesn't really hit you until you are around 40 when it's too late to reinvent yourself.

That's because you're too fundamentally planted in your own worldview paradigm. To a suicidally depressed person, no matter what they have life will feel like a drag. To the depressed mind there is a clarity in how temporary everything is. Even if you have everything in the world the depressed mind knows it will one day end.

>from a perspective of lacking all of the things that make life meaningful.

you're assuming those things are objectively meaningful. to a suicidally depressed person, those things mean nothing.

Furthermore, Allison Brie and Dave Franco were confirmed to have stolen the plot of Together from an indie movie called "Better Half" which was previously pitched to both Brie and Franco. i recommend reading about it, Darkness Visible is a good memoir of a guy suffering from it. i have idealized suicide myself, though I don't think i would ever do it. it's mostly just a self-pitying thing for me.
you can have all the money and accolades in the world and still feel like a piece of shit who should be dead.

You're right - maybe cops/authorities didn't go to his house during the welfare check.
>โ€œIn October 2024, Baena made concerning remarks to [redacted], which prompted her to call a friend to perform a welfare check on her husband,โ€ Lieutenant Kelsey Weber states. โ€œBaena had been attending therapy since the event,โ€ she added. The officer also noted that the screenwriter did not have any โ€œprevious suicide attemptsโ€ but had โ€œdifficulty sleeping.โ€
Maybe it was Kristen Bell and/or her husband who went over to the house. Baena might have texted Aubrey "I miss you so much my wife. I haven't slept for days" and then Dax Shepard pops in the door minutes later and gives a sleep deprived Baena not to kill himself.

He did something selfish, he is gone now. Grief is reserved for those who were not cowards seeking an easy way out. Everyone agrees. No sympathy other than the mental health struggles it caused her but she is a bad ass, not sure what your insinuating but you better cut it out

Because he had imagination I'm thinking his inner voice turned everything to shit. Everything you've ever done was just mistakes even though you can logically fight this but the fight doesn't help. You just gotta accept it and embrace it. Because the divorce was the tipping point I'm guessing the guy had weak mental and was on depression pills.

Depression is agnostic of material wealth/status. Some of the most miserable people I have met have been wealthy, high-earning, nominally 'successful' white color workers.

>It was probably her friend's idea to call the cops on him, influenced by the picture Aubrey painted of him while bad mouthing him.
Honestly, I got the impression the friend probably knew Plaza was being a cunt and called the cops to do a wellness check because she knew Aubrey's side of the story reeked of bullshit.

Aubrey Plaza abandoned her pets! Meanwhile her loving husband's second to last act was to ensure the safety of those sweet animals.
>Appearing on The Ellen Show in 2018, Plaza gave us the deets on her dogs, and they both have a pretty fascinating background. "They're both beautiful and perfect in my heart," the actress assured the talk-show host. "Stevie's famous," she added. "She was actually on The Mentalist for years." (publishedFebruary 16, 2022)

I didn't post that as fact. But if she drove this dude to suicide, why would she care about the pets that she also abandoned?

This is something people should follow up on if that's true. She went to the Amy Poehler interview with a dog and talked a little bit about dogs so there's definitely some info there we could work with. TMZ also keeps taking pics of her walking her dog (which is admittedly fucking weird of them). If it does turn out that she gave the dogs away after the fact then that's really fucking weird. I get that grief makes it hard for people to do even simple things that remind them of their ex but giving dogs away would be terrible.

Apparently (according to some websites I read but I didn't check this myself) she deleted her Instagram post celebrating their marriage together. Baena definitely heard about that and it probably fucked him up.

This. My uncle has a great marriage, a great job, and an overall great life. He still has to get ketamine treatments and take antidepressants and vitamin D and shit so he doesn't randomly feel the urge to kill himself for no reason. Men are notorious for not talking to anyone about depression or going on medication and a lot of us would rather die than admit something is wrong and inconvenience others.

It could just be that he was having a perfectly normal day and some chemical imbalance drove him over the edge.

You're missing one crucial thing: a good belief system. These people are overly hedonic and that makes you miserable. They don't have any faith or nature to ground themselves in.

I have nothing, and even i can tell how people with everything kill themselves.

For instance, say you have a voice in your head that says shit like "I kill kids, I rape children". It's not your conscious, as you've never done those things, you're not guilty of them. But for some reason it keeps saying that over and over again. It goes away for awhile, sometimes a few weeks. But it always says it again.

At first it's just a stupid thought like every other dumb saying or joke you make in your head, but it gets weird when it keeps popping back into your head almost every day, for years later. It makes literally no sense that you still hear this being said in your head.

Stuff like that doesnt seem like a big deal, but the point is when people can't "turn off" things in their head, it can lead to distress, which could eventually lead to turning off everything else because it's so tiring to hear or see or do something repetitive for decades and not be able to get away from it.
