When did everyone start hating this movie? It is pretty great. If you want non american slow burn kino version of it though. Korea's 2018 film Burning.
reminder: this movie exists and was artificially praised because inherent vice was about the CIA kickstarting the hard drug industry in the US to inoculate the poor against communist sentiment by giving them the illusion of class mobility via selling drugs, and the CIA completely missed that.
