>>213876643Yeah. It's definitely bad, but somehow not nearly as bad as I was expecting from the hype. The clips you've seen are pretty much the funniest parts, with long stretches of nothing interesting between them.
I wouldn't really recommend watching it for entertainment, but I do have to admit the time I spent watching it flew by, so I must have enjoyed it more than I realize. It just wasn't as "so bad it's good" as I was led to believe.

"The whole thing takes place on a computer screen!" is something only an ideas guy could think sounds good, and not what any sane audience would ask for. I'm also reasonably sure this wasn't originally going to be a War of the Worlds movie, but that they tacked the name on at the end to try and salvage what was clearly a mess at the end of the day. This wouldn't have even registered with the population without the name.
