He's half-right. They annoyed the average American into supporting the dumbfuck version of the right. It's kinda sad that it ended up the way it did, given the traction the right wing was gaining after 2014, and how the new people drawn to the right were trying to solve the issues that existed on the populist/evangelical right. It was the first time I'd seen a proper grassroots counter-culture on the right, which was also entirely organic. Of course, that didn't last very long.
