I started a free HBO trial to watch a movie last night and I see that they have Sinners on there, so I'm going to watch that tonight.

I didn't know black people had a unique racial form of sign language that's different from regular sign language and I don't know why subtitles don't serve that purpose more effectively for a movie, but the meme potential is high

There shouldn't be. ASL is there to make sure everyone can communicate with each other and not have to learn dozens of regional variations. The main problem with sign language is it's country specific, so a deaf person in the US has a difficult time communicating with a deaf person in another country.
