No it isn't at all. The majority of American shows to my knowledge don't know how to write proper whodunnit. The first season at least is more in line with the shows people like when they enjoy Poirot, Jonathan Creek, Father Brown, Agatha Raisin, Queens of Mystery etc.

Then there's the Halloween set designs and costumes which people love.
Then there's the great world-building.
Then there's a the teen girls which people love.
