In the books Joe is just super incel evil man but the show pushed him more as a faux feminist who you cheered for, simply because a bunch of the people he murdered were fucking insufferable modern internet obsessed retards who came across as more annoying than a literal murderer, this added a nice dark humour twist to it. But as time went on I feel like the show got muddled in what it wanted to say and it really had its jump the shark moment post Love dying. The whole British arc was all over the place and then this final season tried to say something but had to massively dumb the character down.

Shows men will never understand.

I thought it was fine. I enjoyed S4 a lot and thought S1 and S5 was fine too.

Season 5 felt like a bargain basement Fall of the House of Usher. I did not care for the family drama.

The worst part for me was those TikTok girls who were friends of Bronte, the fat one and the one with short hair on some podcast about how *they* took down Joe. Usually that type of smug self important person would be the sort of person Joe murdered and that you cheered on but instead they were bragging despite doing NOTHING. That and Joe's wife Kate pretty much killed a bunch of people when she was working for her father and went along with so much of Joe but had zero consequences.

Despite the implausibility it's still a very entertaining show. I remember S1 especially being some of the most gripping TV I've ever watched.

S5 was a big dumpster fire though, Joe should have won.

I don't think it's an incel show desu. In season 1 Joe already has an ex, he picks up Beck pretty easily, and when they break up he immediately starts fucking someone else. Joe isn't bad with women at all he just has untreated BPD.
