Yes. Some bad things happening to some of the players does not negate the fact he glorifies the life in general. In basically all his movies he presents it as a high risk, high reward environment, most of the bad things happening to people are presented as personal issues rather than issues inherent in the life itself. Meanwhile Sopranos shows it as it actually is, a shit life in which only psychos and sociopaths somewhat thrive with no way out due to the inherent flaws of the entire system.
