Its actually a good representation of a workplace because as much as HR bangs on about looking for team players the truth is everyone settles into roles and responsibilities they feel comfortable doing. So if one person is in charge of merely greeting clients and setting up the meeting room that is hugely valuable because nobody else wants to do it.

She was the tard wrangler for the secretaries and steno pool. Her entire job was basically the ability to herd cats effectively. Typists came and went in droves back then because when they got married they would usually quit. You needed a mother hen to keep the chickens in line while keeping the revolving door of new hires up to speed without losing efficiency.
