the show has so much potential and a great premise but it's just written by the most annoying, laziest motherfuckers on earth.

but no we get fucking music note bottles and reincarnation memories that takes a whole fucking season to reveal. no cool period flashback at the end to colonial times either lets just have them fucking TALK about it like a dream they had.

a group of people in the past (likely 1600s american colonists) did a ritual that sacrificed their kids in order to become immortal. this created the monsters. however at least two of the people in the group refused and then were probably killed by the monsters but thanks to some counter magic by the ghosts of the sacrificed kids they were able to be sort of reincarnated in various people that then end up in fromville to try and put an end to the curse and free the kids spirits.

I watched LOST while it aired on tv and I am currently rewatching it because all the new shows suck.
not sure how well you remember it, but in S1 alone there are over a dozen cases where someone gets knocked unconcious by getting tapped on the head. lol. someone gets amnesia within the first 5-6 episodes. clair and jack turn out to be half-siblings sharing the same father. lmao. it's a soap opera.

My favorite part of Lost is getting to watch the second season, following new characters for three or four episodes while everything related to the original cast is put on hold, then seeing that this entire new cast is killed with one exception, leaving no impact or lasting mark beyond stretching the time between set ups and payoffs.
