It really depends what you're looking for.
If you want a depiction of an alcoholic waking nightmare, go with Wake in Fright.
If you want a depiction of directionless adults drinking and waiting to die, go with Trees Lounge.
If you want a depiction of a degen "functional" alcoholic having his life crumble around him, go with Boiling Point or Flight.

The lost weekend is pretty good, but if you're really interested in the mindset of what it's like read the book. It's the most accurate depiction imo ever put down.

Not a movie, but the show sharp objects did a great job with the alcoholism bits. Really reminded me of the darker days of my past, complete with water bottles filled with vodka.
