Good thing is that this means more seasons for Resurrection. To be fair Original Sin only worked as an appetizer for Resurrection, but fact is that continuing prequel show too many seasons wouldn't work. Dexter wouldn't be able to really connect with anyone else than Harry, Debra couldn't become detective yet or have any meaningful story arcs, Brian couldn't interact with anyone outside Harry, and nothing big could really happen. Anyway they finished most of it's major story arcs, so it doesn't feel that unfinished. Sure we didn't reach Harry's death, but does there need to be anything else than suicide. Maybe better this way.

Probably not going to happen. It's a dead end, we already know Trinity's MO, and since he's dead, there's not much that it could reveal that anybody would care about. If they want to expand the Dexter Universe, make a side series about some killer Dexter has yet to encounter, to better flesh out a villain before he appears in Resurrection.
If they must do a Trinity thing, it should at most be a TV movie, like an hour and a half thing showing his progression or something as filler between seasons. If Original Sin didn't have enough power to last for two seasons or at least warrant taking production time away from Resurrection, no fucking way would they have them waste time on an already explained backstory for a villain whose character died 15 years ago.

I didn't like season 1 but I thought there was a lot of potential to course correct.
Have a better villain, no more Debra fucking some douche subplots, all the boring flashback stuff is out of the way, maybe have more Brian and it could've been better than Original Sin season 1.

This was definitely the worst episode this season so far. It all felt very forced and rushed. Also in some scenes with Harrison its spring/early summer already and some of the Dexter scenes clearly still looked like winter. Am I supposed to believe Dexter has only been in town for 2 weeks?

Like network shows such as CSI would show dismembered hookers suspended from the ceiling with hooks in the 2000s when normally you only saw that stuff on cable.
