Watching this show now makes me kind of sad, the world seemed so much comfort then but maybe it was just because Santa Barbara was probably extremely comfy before 2008
I regret I missed out watching it while it was airing and only recently binged in on Amazon.
The Enigma episodes are fucking awesome.
Julie's reaction to the truth felt weird.
The finale when Lassie ejects the DVD and crushes it made me cry like a bitch. Hell, just typing this out made me tear up.

really good up until around season 5 when they paired Shawn up with Jules. preferred comedy over the drama/romance, but it's not that in your face I guess

It was good up until they added in the ~wacky~ medical examiner. That was when every character was flanderized to such an extent that they had to add a new, pre-flanderized character.

the Twin Peaks parody episode in season 5 is worth a watch if you liked Twin Peaks. episode is called Dual Spires. it's hilarious
>>213914606 >Shawn looks in trash bin >Camera zooms in on glowing clipping of newspaper where the headline says “anon’s a faggot”
I’M SENSING SOMETHING

Overall it was a good show. I think it peaked in season 3 and fell off after that, but overall still fun. The Shawn and Juliet relationship drama made me want to kill myself though.
>im a super genius I have superpowers I can see things and make connections like someone with basic powers of observation I can’t let anyone know this so I’ll pretend to be psychic
>>213916652
The psychic stuff isn't a cover for his intelligence, it's a cover for the illegal way he acquires evidence. He wouldn't be able to solve half of these cases following normal legal procedures.
Did anyone catch all the hidden pineapples in episodes? I heard there's one per episode, but they're impossible to catch, you see them for a few frames.

It's fucking slop. Say it's comfy, say it's more about the characters or comedy or whatever, but the fact is that the stories and mysteries are poorly written, shallow, and derivative. Once you've seen one "modern Sherlock" type show you've seen them all, and they're all ass.

Was anyone else able to straight up predict who the killer was after a couple of seasons? >That guy who sorta lingers in the background for the most part? Yeah he's probably the killer. Or it's the person who's grieving his death the most.
>>213923534
In a tv show episode there isn't really enough time to establish multiple suspicious characters, basically every mystery or crime show is stuck either making it obvious who the killer is or not showing them at all until the reveal. But the mystery is for the characters, the show isn't really meant to try and fool the audience.

Nah, if you don't like it in the first season, you are pretty safe to drop it.
It's a pretty consistent dynamic and style throughout the whole series.
