This should have gotten more season just so they could have had a plotline about Deb getting addicted to drugs while she was in college or early in her Vice career. It would explain how she became so ugly and skinny. It would sort of fix more of the lazy writing from season 8. She just randomly becomes a crack whore for a couple episodes then gets over it instantly. With this retcon, that becomes a momentary relapse on an addiction she already broke a long time ago.
