The Breakfast Club, unlike practically every other movie of its kind, presents a message that actually helps instead of hurts its audience: conformity is good. Not necassarily conforming to the principal's antiquated ideology, which would actually turn you into an outcast, but conforming to the zeitgeist - being a normal high school student.
