It actually felt like it was setting up to be a continuing series at the beginning, by taking time to introduce the townsfolk and the police force, only to rush everything toward another unsatisfying series finale. Overall it works better as a bridge between Dexter and D: Resurrection than it ever did as a Dexter finale, but of course the things they did to bring it to a close just made the intro to Resurrection all kinds of messy. I absolutely don't buy Angela just letting things go out of fear, nor do I think Harrison would so quickly come to terms with Dexter having killed Logan out of "self defense
