the most unrealistic part about Daria is probably that a girl with the genetics of the school's popular stacey wouldn't get much more attention, make-up be damned.
She does end up with a dork chad, so I guess it's kinda realistic.

Above average intelligence growing up with two parents who threw themselves into their work especially her Mother. Dad was constantly emasculated and her younger sister learned to play the game and bullshit her parents so she could do what she wanted. Daria honestly had a great high school life considering. She hung out with Kevin and Brittany and other popular people semi regularly. Hung out with Jane and her brother and didn't have a lot of big issues. Even still her college years were going to be her best years and she was the kind of person that would look back fondly at high school when she was in her 60s

daria would barely be in her 40s by now.
Now there is a depressing timeskip sequel I wanna see
With King of the Hill and B&B it was funny and all, but i dont think people are really aware how kids like Daria turn out in the end.
Spoiler: It ain't good. Their overperformance is mostly front load to an average (sometimes even below average) life.
Ever wondered why you never hear of those child prodigies again?

Are you fucking kidding me? Half the current US generation of adolescents is obese and/or autistic. The people portrayed in this cartoon are like divine beings compared to the modern crop of empire-shattering gyatt skibidi reddit-brain fatherless fatbags that discourse on the internet now. And there's no end in sight.

I don't know why Gen X gripe about growing up as latchkey kids when it sounds awesome. That kind of freedom was of its time and taken for granted
By all accounts Daria had a pretty good life, she was just a whiner >Well liked by everyone in school by all social circles >People acknowledged she's smart and would invite her to parties and come to her for advice >Stole her friend's boyfriend and not only kept her friendship but her boyfriend too for a while >Second best student in school academically >Mid-high income household

Eh, just move out of your small Indiana or Mississippi town or wherever you live. I don't like zoomers that much but at least they don't consume corn syrup by the gallon, drink alcohol as much, or eat as much fattening slop.

life is different for everyone. Not everyone wants or likes that kind of life or freedom. Some people do actually want to spend time with their parents.
