We’re watching it happen right now, but just as Napster began the destruction of the music industry and they had to adjust as streaming is destroying theaters we’ll see something new come out of it. There’s a local theater here that only sells out when they show old movies and when they have a video game competition on the big screen. The entire high school is lined up around the block for the gaming thing.

The only thing I hope for is that I can get a better paying job soon and just slave for 10 years, save as much as I can into passive index funds and try and live off that by 40ish. I was thinking maybe if I can just buy a small home in a cheap Midwest town or something and live as bare minimum as possible. But who knows if it'll ever happen. There will probably be some big crisis that fucks everything. Either way I agree, the idea of working till 60s makes me not want to keep going with life

I came to a realization the other day. You know how you can "feel" another person looking at you? Like if someone looks at you for a few seconds, you'll instinctively meet their gaze, or vice-versa?
