If it's too similar to Ripley or previous scenes it's annoying, some of the shots and scenes in Romulus for instance were awful despite the fact I enjoyed it over all I can't defend some of those scenes.

However Wendy as a protagonist is great and isn't at all like Ripley. And the Engineers had super evolution tech (Black goo) and created the xenomorph by combining the different species on the planet in Prometheus. David also made a version of them. But the original formula was shown on the mural of Prometheus.

The final scene of this show needs to be the Nostromo loading up and blasting off, with a reference to Ash being the new guy, and Parker telling Brett about following in his grandfather's footsteps. Why were these "children" allowed to come to this crash? What narrative purpose does it serve that they even ARE "children" in adult bodies? Is it just for the weird comic relief of them saying dumb kid stuff? The random Peter Pan and ice age references just because it's Disney owned. Why does this chick have a sword magnetised to her back? Why is the rich corporation man always eating an apple? Is that the only way Disney writers thought to make him a carefree nonchalant rich boy?
