Cavill is a very attractive man, maybe one of the most handsome in the world right now. He has a very imperialistic, lordly sort of handsomeness that would suit Bruce Wayne better.
Corenswet looks like he might have grown up on a farm in the midwest. Broad shoulders, clean cut, obliviously handsome. I think he is a more natural Superman casting.

The movie sold me on that it took place in New York and that this teenager became a mutant hero. Things were fantastical but the world itself, the characters, and the events were believable enough. There were moments of levity and some whimsical scenes? Yes, but overall things were very believable in that action-adventure style.

Superman, though, was bullshit all the way through. Felt like a parody movie in some places.

The first Superman made me believe an alien came to Earth, grew up as a normal man, and then tried to become some type of guardian angel.

This movie just throws things at you at a fast pace, without giving any concept or really any scene some breathing room, before moving to the next thing, and most of it doesn't really follow any logical sense. Things just happen, and happen, and happen. Characters feel like caricature and not like normal people. They just are there either for a joke or to scream their character sheet. The shitty visual effects or really how things play out during moments of action just feels purposely dumb and poorly made.

Like i said, it feels like something akin to Sharkboy and Lavagirl.

Superman is the heroic boy-next-door, Lois is the feisty damsel, Lex is the envious mastermind, etc.
