I know this was pretty much just an F1 commercial, but man, what really caught me off guard was how upscale and fancy everything was. How exactly do I get to watch a movie with this text ?

I think Braddu Pittu's character was pretty inconsistent, in some scenes he was wise and selfless mentor, in others reckless and selfish thrill seeker, he was boomer not used to modern gadgets, but also helped design new super-car, he was plagued by nightmares about his crash, but also enjoyed racing for the sake of it even though any crash could leave him paralyzed.

That's not even what I suggested, but in the sense that there's little else in Nascar to enjoy while watching compared to F1 then yes. If you were a casual viewer who didn't follow driver drama and only watched race day, F1 is more engaging.

In real life it actually sucks to win the last race if you are not also overall champion because all the attention will be directed at that guy

This movie was literally just Days of Thunder but worse.

It was fucking stupid. Pitt spends 90% of the movie intentionally causing incidents and abusing safety rules.

It's the movie equivalent of making a film about an aging soccer pro who gets back into the game only to constantly flop on every contact to gain penalties.

Maybe the F1 is actually like this though? In which case it did nothing to promote the sport.

Unfortunately F1 is definitely not like "Ford V Ferrari". Without Brad Pitt, this movie would be total garbage. He carries this movie hard.

The black guy on the poster isn't very good at acting. At the very least, the writing is for his character isn't good. He's portrayed with no flaws except being a little cocky. It's like the writers were afraid to give him real flaws.

If you loved Ford V Ferrari, then I recommend you watch Rush (2013) instead. Very similar style.

The Euros will probably love this movie since they are guzzlers for anything F1 related, and this is a high budget F1 movie. But this movie's script needed 2 or 3 more revisions. There's too many subplots and pointless characters. Also the black racer didn't have any character arc.

I downloaded this yesterday but I have absolutely no desire to watch it whatsoever. I have the feeling I'm going to end up deleting it like I did with Sinners.
