It's crazy to me how good season 1 of stranger things was vs. every other season after.
The writing in S2 is sloppy, retarded, and meandering.

I agree, they should go back to the writing quality of the earlier seasons

S2 was a dumpster fire, I enjoyed S3 well enough but it really felt like It was heavily adapted from when the series was supposed to be an anthology. Never watched anything beyond that.

I remember finding season 1 very good, and then after that it was a nosedive. Still watchable but nowhere near the same magic
I wonder if I went and rewatched season 1 if I'd find it on par with the other seasons, and it was just an effect of it being new. I dunno. I'm not going to rewatch it and ruin my memory of it.

Mike is not as useless as he appears. Time and again the show showed Eleven was too emotional unstable to fight without Mike. So if you wanna go with Eleven you might as well take Mike with her

S2 was decent, barring episode 7. Season 3 was a parody, like an MCU produced version of S2.
Season 4 had some of the highest highs but also some of the most retarded things, and the editing and pacing were all over the place

Why the fuck the writers, when approached by executives with the money for the second season, didn't just hired the same actors but for the different characters in the new story is beyond meat
