A point the show or movie was trying to convey
>The American healthcare system sucks

Had nothing to do with healthcare, Walt was terminal. Treatment would let him live a few months longer in weakness and agony. He needed the 731k(or w/e the amount was) so his white wife would be taken care of and his kids could go to college

The system sucks because it pushes people to limp on. Had they respected Walts desire to let go he might've quit the drug making.

It’s weird that the school had seemingly no health insurance

>The Sopranos
Crime doesn't pay as much as you think it does(a smart doctor can make more money), and it's not worth the risk because everyone is a rat in the making
>Breaking Bad
Crime pays as much as you think it does, but you should not fly too close to the sun or you will get burned
So which one is it?

Mob tactics like beating people up for their lunch money isn't worth it but running industrial scale illegal enterprises is

How does American health system suck? Nowhere in the world healthcare workers earn as much as in US, and technologically it is most advanced. Also you don't get taxxed for literally who's healthcare.
Free healthcare is a meme. 1 year waiting queue + tip to visit underpaid miserable physician, who does not give a shit

Walt wouldn't have taken public health care any more than he would have taken the care provided by his former business partners.

>Nowhere in the world healthcare workers earn as much as in US,
that's a problem for everyone who makes average wages, all of the most talented doctors, dentists etc. are hoarded by the upper class and you can only go to them if you're willing to pay out of pocket because they won't take your middle of the road insurance.

you all are fuckin' retarded
>getting charged crazy amounts of money for healthcare is a good thing
doesn't sound like any of you have ever dealt with hospitals, doctors or medical bills

>insurance doesn't want to pay for stuff they're required to, without you calling them 3x
>prices keep going up because they can charge whatever they want
>dr's are completely booked or you have to wait months to get an appt
you think that this shit is a problem only in countries that have free healthcare, and it's not even true
>when you do get an appt it's some physicians assistant or anyone they can pay less than the actual dr
"No, countries with "free" healthcare do not inherently have longer waiting periods; in fact, many countries with universal healthcare systems, which are often free at the point of use, have similar or shorter wait times than the United States, though this varies by country and service"

you really want to shill for the rich who take advantage of you getting sick for $$$?
