A friend of mine (more acquaintance these days) who has become a massive lefty fag over the years has started doing the whole poly thing and tried to explain to me how humans are naturally monogamous and so this is emotionally healthier for everyone, and also it's safer than normal monogamy when casually dating and having sex because everyone is more careful about getting tested. I think any last shreds of respect for him that I had died that day.
Firstly monogamy isn't about biology it's a vow of loyalty and respect for the other person. That you are swearing off all other because you devote yourself to them and the relationship (that why cheating is called CHEATING).
As for the health side, you can be careful all you want, maybe the chick you're banging is as well, but that doesn't mean some fuckboy won't just lie to get her into bed, then maybe she doesn't get tested in time and whoops, now you got the germ.
I fucking hate all this shit, we need to go back to locking women up and only letting them out on chaperoned dates.
