This guy (Madvocate) is also guilty of this, too, but at least he’s using this framework of critique on shows where the main character almost has no excuse to not wrap up a conflict in under 5 seconds or less (CW’s The Flash). Outside of his one trick pony of dunking on shitty capeshit, he’s just condescending and overthinking literally everything, like in his Deadpool & Wolverine (not shitty capeshit) video. Like, why would you assume that the goons showing up in several different locations to surround Deadpool would give them an automatic win, when Deadpool is one of the best fighters in his universe? Does it really matter how they show up when the TVA is a struggling organization with some resources at best, as shown throughout the entirety of the movie (I haven’t seen Loki and I don’t really care)? They’ve already written the opening scene for Deadpool to kill the guards regardless of how it’s done, no fucking need to self-insert yourself as a Watcher and over-analyze the fight patterns of every single thing they do like you’d write a better scene (none of these guys would).
Side note, Mauler ghostwriting The Drinker’s next movie script, novel, whatever-the-fuck, is going to be pure Kek when it comes out, no doubt about it. I can imagine the dialogue being strictly robotic and already saying what the audience is thinking, and the action scenes having some convoluted shit behind them, or ending in an anticlimactic fashion like The Acolyte.
