Did 2001: A Space Odyssey predict AI?
Anonymous No.213982064
No, an AI being malevolent as been done billions of time even before 2001.

There are waaaaaay better examples.

Hardly.
It did predict flat screens and ipad-like tablets.
And then it also seems to have predicted certain problems we are having with AI and how to counter them.
But no "AI" had been around for a long time before it.

Aldous Huxley told Mike Wallace in 1958 about a group of Malthusian elites trying to control the world population. His own brother Julian Huxley was part of the (eugenics) group.

I listened to Tarantino on Bill Maher's podcast and both of them thought Hal was gay coded.
Anonymous No.213985891
Yes. No film before 2001 ever had robots and AI in it.

Oh damn. C.S. Lewis too. (And, of course, famously JFK.)
