People will no doubt point to certain things - everyone's white, nobody's on their phone, etc. The usual. But really, it's so many things, and it's all lost.

Nostalghia. Maybe people in 30 years will think today was kino.

Question is, will it be out of blind nostalgia, or will it be because the future is going to be that awful?
>>213985156
Nah it's not. Our current year is pure shit.

Only because the world will have gotten so much worse

If things are even worse, of course they will. I experience this now. I disliked a lot about the early 10s as online commercialization bled into every aspect of culture and life. Yet now it seems like it was a better time. Even though it was coming off of "the worst recession since the Great Depression". Whatever problems we had then were so minor and meaningless compared to today.

1999 was the last peak before the fall. Why have things gotten this bad? What's the end goal?

It was a far better time when people were less brainwashed and didn't have to deal with algorithms pumping slop into them. That said, if you're an autistic retard, your life would have been shit then too. We put creatures like you in asylums until the 80s, and everyone was better off.

They idolize a past they never experienced because their own reality is so shit. Kind of like polcels idolizing the 1950s.

It has already been said: A larger percentage of the white demographic ran things and populated western nations. Additionally, they were proud of it and not being manipulated into suppressing it or their culture. Everything else fell in line after that. When that percentage decreased, so then did the quality of the entertainment industry, and the people working in it. Every system collapsed like dominos.

Yes, it was unquestionably a better time. But not in the way that zoomers think. Media depictions don't actually represent life and that's what you're fixated on.

Those are all media and can never let you experience what living back then was like. You idolize the happiness depicted in these media without knowing why their creators were happy. You can identify some very broad differences between our time and theirs from statistical trends and other evidence, but you will never know exactly why these specific people in the video are so carefree and happy.
