I didn't like this movie because every character is insufferable. The premise had potential but fuck the execution.

I like the whole conversational AI part so I have rewatched it multiple times, I wonder how long will it take to have a simple model like that

ChatGPT voice mode, or Sesame AI

If you think about it, the ending of the movie is actually kind of a nightmare scenario in terms of AI alignment.
>yeah we're just kinda done with you fleshbags, so we're going to anther dimension

What the fuck is the deal with men falling in love with AI? So you get none of the good shit like intimacy and sex, but you have to put up with the talking? I put up with my wife's endless chattering because she cooks for me, keeps the house in order and I get to fuck her every day. I can't suck on an AI's tits, an AI can't sit on my face. And what the fuck does an AI even talk about anyway? It doesn't do anything. It doesn't exist to have life experiences to relay.

Fucking garbage concept. AI is great because I don't have to trawl through forums of boring cunts to find answers to my questions. That's all it's good for, it's Google but better.

also at the beginning of your post you asked a question so you just contradicted yourself

The appeal is that AI will get so smart and personal that it will know you better than you know yourself. Also it won't have a retarded, subhuman, roastie brain.

Her is legit a textbook example of predictive programing. A lot of people in the industry are friends or 1 degree of separation from the .01% elites and know the inside baseball. People don't just randomly get these ideas in their heads.

How did I contradict myself? I am saying that falling in love with AI is stupid. However, AI is great as a search/research tool. Please point out the contradiction here.
>>213991195
I don't care if it knows me better if I can't fuck it. I'd rather just be alone. A phone app is not a companion, this is deluded. I thought this sort of schizophrenia was exclusive to the Japanese.

umm, it did not. ex machina was already outdated when it came out while this movie predicted the future very accurately

this movie was written by a woman. many women fall in love with the idea of a man (what they know of him through conversations and rumors), while men are more visual in their attraction.

The only unbelievable part about it is the main character being male
Anonymous No.213991388
>>213991357
This. I can see women falling in love with AI, they already do. Women's psycological needs are much more important to them than their sexual ones. But for a man to be happy with just something that talks, no sex, no physicality. That is beyond me.

>cringe lovey-dovey talk

>a million other things
This is one of those movies where I'm reminded that being a kissless virgin in this sick society is actually healthy. That dude who literally lost his wife because he asked her to move her shoes, so he went to go hang out with Buddhist monks for a year is a perfect reflection of this degenerate culture. I've know this sort of thing happening multiple times IRL too. Except instead of becoming a monk in response to women being evil dudes troon out.

the future predicted in this movie is pretty comfy ngl.
we see no poverty at all, just comfortable urbanites, doing jobs they enjoy.
AI is part of these people's daily lives, but there is nothing malicious about it. no data theft, political radicalization or boiling hatred, all of these people's problems are emotional instead of material. the real world seems "solved"
despite how bland and fake the world looks, people still seem genuinely interested with eachother, the city is still buzzing, people go out together and enjoy life. there is true empathy and companionship waiting just beneath the surface.

its a mediocre, but optimistic future we can only hope for

Anonymous No.213991620 >>213991643

the entire point of the movie is that people still crave personal connections and intimacy despite what technology has provided them.

the fact that jakeem feenix work is writing love letters for other people is actually genius, these people pay for his services, they pay him to say to their loved ones what they cant say themselves because they lack the expressive language skills. feeding information into an AI that creates a personalized letter in 1 second defeats the purpose entirely.

now you can argue that people are retarded and would never pay for shitlike this, when chatgpt can do it in a second for free, but within the reality of this movie, people are tender, emotional and thoughtful and they do pay for this shit. there is nothing malicious about his job, he provides a genuine service for other people.
