I'm rewatching Smallville and I have to ask, is he the worst Superman in terms of character traits? I get that he's not Supeman yet and he's supposed to be young. But it feel like he only gets worse as the show goes on. He's just so self-righteous, condescending and impulsive. He lies constantly to everyone around him, and not even just about his powers but about everything. And he keeps rationalizing it as him somehow doing it to protect other people. It's no wonder Lex turns into a villain. Everyone would if their supposed best friend gaslit them this badly.
I guess Jonathan and Martha are to blame since he clearly learned it from them because they do it all constantly too.

I also forgot how much Lana overstays her welcome and how insufferable their relationship is.

And yet for some reason I still find the show oddly comfy and endearing.

literally why didn't he don the suit at the end for a few full body shots of him in it instead just showing one or two cgi shots..?

I remember reading that it was because "the show wasn't about superman in the suit" which was a fucking ridiculous reason. maybe he just didn't want to be cursed

Maybe they just didn't feel like it would have been worth the money to design and produce a full Superman suit for a single scene in the final episode of the show.

I mean canonically he's meant to be 14 in the first season. No shit he's a dumb twerp in High School, all teens are.
