what annoys me about japanese voice actors is how females sound
so many squeaky voices
children sound especially unrealistic

White males are actually under-represented in voice acting if you account for the percentage of Jews. Same is true in Hollywood.

I remember someone broke down all the movies that hit theaters in like 2023 or something and did a full demographic analysis and found that white men were under-represented by like 20%, and Jews were over-represented by something like 400%. Black people were also over-represented by like 100%. Asians were also under-represented.

False in that he won't get a paycheck anymore if you follow through. This was ALL a ploy by voice actors to get more roles, by eliminating or reduceing the amount of white people who could get roles. These people are rich by normal standards, so it's just another elite power grab. The vast, vast, vast, majority of people do not gain anything from this, especially minorities and blacks.

Kay Yu, an american programmer hobbyist animator actually worked for several big shonen shows and also stuff like the genderswap brother sister show. His name appeared in the title credits as key animator but he said it paid fuck all. If he wasnt already independently well off doing it as a hobby he would starve.

The japs care far more about public image due to their honor culture. They do engage in acts where they reveal their true selves, but they often try to hide it so as not to tarnish their image. Is AI goign to ruin these people? Japan could set up an AI system where they pay the original JP voice actors a bit more, and have an AI turn their original voice acting performance into English. THat cuts out the anime dubbing voice actors entirely. That is based and might I even say red pilled?

There are at least a few cool voice actors. Rueben Langdon is a cool guy as is David Hayter. Vic Mignola is apparently a "sex pest" who "preys" on "underage" fans (which I interpreted to mean flirted with some 18 year olds while he was 30) so I imagine a lot of people would call him based for that.

Most VAs are fans but there are a few good apples.

He literally didn't do anything. A woman he dumped lied about him, had her husband lie about him, and convinced some of his former coworkers that hated him for being a conservative to lie about him. He was never even charged.

There's actually some level of respect for VA's in Japan. English VA's are all either untrained amateurs from Youtube or untalented shitters that couldn't cut it even as background actors.

It's probably not going to sound much better tbdesu. I've heard it try to use a nip's voice for english lines somewhere, and it just didn't sound good. It's fine if it does jap to jap or english to english, but for some reason crossing them doesn't turn out great.

I saw the AI translated Hitler speeches into English and they're uncanny in a good way, would be neat if they took american VA's voices and translated into different languages aswell so that characters sound the same as in the original version.

The only reason dubbing exists is because of war. They didn't want people to hear languages other than their own.
