We have 2 and I can say for certainty that most people are not prepared for the Guantanamo Bay levels of sleep deprivation. That fucks you harder than you can imagine and then you have to spend your entire day taking care of them while being sleep deprived. And it's not like a job where you clock out after 8 hours. It's a full 16 hours shift, and you need to do this every day, for at least 1 year, with no days off. It gets better after 1 year, at least in terms of sleep.

The funny thing is that looking back now in retrospective, raising just 1 is easy as shit if you know what you are doing. Basically if you upload the experience of raising 1 kid in your brain, the first one is not so bad (except you can't do that, so even just 1 is hard).
What's hard mode is raising 2. No experience in the world will make that easier. They will have different sleep schedules and wake each-other up, they will do shit together or to each-other that you can't imagine, which means you'll have to keep an eye on them at all times, they will have different personalities and what works on one will not work on the other, and so on.

The real psy-op the jews pulled was convincing people to live on their own, far from their families. Kids are meant to be raised with help from grandparents and family. Once they reach at least 2-3 years you can fuck off on your own.

PS: everything I described here was in the context of raising them with help from either my mother in law or my mom. I can't imagine what it's like to raise 2 kids without help. That being said, it's still worth it. Would do it again.

Raising 1 kid isn't easy as shit if you live in a 4 room apt and the baby wakes up and cries every 45 minutes. That's what my son did for the first year of his life. An adult human brain cannot complete a sleep cycle in 45 minutes. Wife and I both went slightly insane. Hallucinations. Murderous impulses. Momentary blackouts. There was no supplementary childcare, no relatives, just insanity inducing sleep deprivation. Worst of all after a year or so when he began sleeping up to 2 hours in a row and we had a shift pattern with bottle feeding, we had insomnia and PTSD and were both constantly jumping at any sound.
