All the best parts were already tried out, tested, and shown to be hits a decade ago since Romulus is just a shitty knock off Alien Isolation. It had a very, very low bar.
Alien 3, Alien Ressurection, AVP, and Alien Covenant are all terrible movies, while Prometheus is an incredibly flawed movie with good parts. Literally anything with claustrophobic spaceship hallways, a scary monster, some body horror, and a plot that's simple enough to avoid glaring holes is a smash hit for the Alien franchise.
