Korean films or Japanese films?
Your preference?

Curious due to the rise of β€œK-pop demon hunters”.

Created by Canada, animated by and originally owned by Japan, bought and released by America, voiced and set in South Korea.

Movie is a slut.

korea had a good run from like 2010 to like 2015~ ish but the ones after that are just blockbuster korea style stuff like train to busan, unstoppable, shit like that which I guess are fun, but there's no real reason to watch train to busan we have world war z at home ya know? japan makes more kino per year so they win right now

Reminder Koreans ignored a perfectly good Korean animated movie on Netflix for a Canadian animated film

Japan indies/auteurs are more innovative in ideas/trends, Kpop/Netflix-centric Korean stuff is like high-IQ focus-group decisions pushed by their govt's "soft power" agenda.

If you take away the K-pop, the movie's essentially bog standard mediocrity with nothing innovative to add to the medium.

i used to be a huge japanophile, still am but you cant deny how much superior korean food, music and movies/shows are compared to their japanese counter part. Especially the movie/show part. Yeah japan has anime but live action shit has always been japans weakness. The food is a closer match, but korean comes out on top there too. The only thing that maybe is an even playing field is music with a slight edge in recent years (2012+) going for korea

Everything from Worst Korea is stolen from Japan. Kimbap is literally just a shittier version of sushi. They're also governed by feminists.
