First of all, this dude is barely in the movie. You just see the back of his head for like 10 seconds. Second, where were all the graphic scenes of cannibalism I was promised? I want those 2 hours of my life back.

think how underprepared your community if township or city is if nuclear war were to break out this week.

I thought that guy was going to be the badass MC cop that goes around shooting cannibals in the midst of a post-apocalyptic UK. Instead I got the average life of a bong in 2025.

I doubt most people expected him to be a significant character. From a British perspective, the idea that the country has decayed so badly into chaos that one of the last figures of authority is a sickly looking traffic warden with a burnt face, clutching a rifle, is interesting. Especially back in the 80s.

There are people who watched this organically and there are people who were dragged to watch it by internet marketing.

Pack enough ambient to power nap thru the first 2 weeks. After that, background radiation subsides enough for short trips outside to gather supplies and rally with your neighbors to begin planning for your new way of life. Within the first few months you'll have cats and simple telephones going. Within a year shit will mostly be back to normal.
Hell, nuclear bombs now don't even emit that much radiation so fallout isn't a problem. So long as you don't get vaporized in the first few milliseconds you'll probably end up alright. Threads is a very pessimistic movie ment to scare boomers.

Its worth checking out, pretty good apocalypse movie that's not a dumb action movie.
Its not the most amazing thing ever, but if you like bleak movies its worth your time.
Miracle Mile is also worth checking out, very different tone, and its structured like an actual movie, but it has a top tier ending and a great sound track by tangerine dream. Great Brian Thompson role too. Denise Crosby shows up.

Damn as I was going to laugh at someone who would unironically post this i realized this is probably a meme. Pretty good. This isn't the first time i've seen a post about this movie confused about the guy's like of screentime. This would probably catch on if 4chan wasn't dead.

He's the posterboy for the movie, and its a genuinely great image that instantly tells a whole story.
Most people go in expecting it to be a movie, and instead its a faux documentary that floats around multiple characters and locations, and that dude is in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene.
