I liked the Snyderman so I feel I can't diss gunn for turning Kryptonians into Viltrumites.

HOWEVER...an Imperial Race is the one most likely to leave a legacy cause- you know, they'd go around and spread their people everywhere, wipe out the locals, leave a populace who may or may not identify with them in the future once they do die out. This is just shit that happens. Everyone has a piece of Genghis in them, Common Law is everywhere, English is the world's business language, North of Africa speaks Arabic, half of it speaks French, half of the America Supercontinent speaks Spanish. Likewise, a conquering Krypton probably has multiple surviving colonies.

It's still early days, and this idea can still be fleshed out, but I don't know if Gunn thought through the implications.
