The miniseries was great, as was the 2004 miniseries.
The book was eh. Like most King adaptations they cut out a lot of his nonsense. In the book he spent 80% of it discussing the day to day lives of the residents. If you skipped the few early vampire chapters you wouldn't even know they were in it.

Yeah the book has way less vampire stuff than you'd expect. I did enjoy the handful of gruesome vampire hunting scenes though. It's a nasty, disgusting job and that's why they just burn the town down in the end.

I checked the wiki after this thread and the story is based upon the black kid from ITs family before the events of IT and it actually has the character from shining scatman crothers played too as he is intertwined in a few of his books. As the books have an overarching intertwined stories and events.

I suppose if it is just 1 black family and they haven't race swapped the entire town it mi9ght not be that bad but from the lore of IT nobody knew of IT until the kids fount IT and fucked him up.
