Guys I have the perfect movie idea that came to me in a dream
It’s a zombie flick right, but it all takes place in a parking lot. It starts as the parking lot attended, like the one from the movie P2, New York style, gated, only managed by one guy. He’s there all day and only leaves at night, and he starts at dawn at 6am. He’s there all day and only has his radio and tv on for the news and other shenanigans. His tv loses signal somehow but his radio is still functioning mid shift. Then slowly, the undead starts wandering in. At first he doesn’t know what it is, he just locks the doors and closes the blinds in his station, and little by little more undead starts wandering in and eventually the whole parking lot is engulfed by zombies. How will he get out? Will his radio die out? Will he get help or turn to a zombie? What do you think of this movie plot /tv/?

the best part of zombies is the disaster transition from normal world to zombie world.
you get none of that by scoping so tight.

Pontypool isn’t zombies per se, but it did a fantastic job centering the movie around the radio station while we hear what’s going on through the news and radio waves. The parking lot idea sounds pretty cool, at least in my dream it did

Wouldn't say it's perfect, but not the worst idea ever. There are some good one set piece movies, phone booth, buried, if done right. You'd need a little more action with him sneaking out to try and get to his car or for a phone or something, but gets cornered. Also those are entirely dependent on how Charismatic and interesting the actor and character is. He's got to have a compelling back story or reason you want him to make it or not make it.
This is gonna have to be heavily reliant on the lead. Better be a dynamite screen play with unique approaches to warn out zombie scenes as well. Not impossible but you've set yourself up for quite a challenge.
