My quick rant for the evening: 4chan is no different from the way zoomers navigate social media vessels like TikTok or X, in that it's basically a quip-fest where the person with the snappiest/most referential or faux-passionate response reigns supreme in the World of Takes (TM). You can observe this with blatantly retarded posts concerned with topics you know a lot about but that still get credit and (You)s solely for the sheer level of sass or snappiness incorporated into their wording. Case in point, saw somebody say that there are like 3 movies ever over three hours that deserve to be that length, and responses were tripping all over themselves to explain why that's wrong, but OP comes off looking large and in charge, even though they're the wrong'un in this scenario. All of this to say: you're not special; if you spent any amount of time you'd consider "significant" (it's all relative at the end of the day, but you know who you are) on this memesite, you're not different from the genalphas or genbetas or whoever you so desperately wanna separate yourself from, unless you are indeed one of the former, in which case you're in good company.

4chan is better because I can tell you that you're a colossal faggot without you screencapping it and sending it to my boss. I can have a discussion with someone without them digging through my post history because they have no argument so all they can so is find something I was retarded about 8 years ago to bring up.
4chan is a place I can be screaming at someone one minute and agreeing with them the next and never realizing it's the same guy.
It's the only place left on the internet where only my words and ideas have to stand by themselves.

Similarly 4chan doesn't live or die by upvotes or by likes or by retweets, it lives by replies. Which is again fundamentally different from places like twitter even if you are just trolling for (You)'s.
