But if you need more context, Rob McElhenney bought a soccer team with Ryan Reynolds and it's like irl Ted Lasso or something and they made a documentary about it that won a lot of awards and now Rob is like a tiny Ryan Reynolds who has more money than the other Sunny guys (who do well for themselves, but not Ryan Reynolds well) and he seems to constantly gush about their friendship to the apparent annoyance of Glenn. Also when they were doing the Always Sunny podcast, there were several moments where you can tell that Glenn just fucking hates the way Rob thinks about certain things. And that goes without mentioning that Glenn wanted to leave the show several times and always gets talked into staying but now Rob's so far up Ryan's ass that he's not even available as much as he used to be.
