I know you like to live in a world where wealthy people have the same work ethic and moral framework that you do. And I honestly used to believe it myself when I was younger, but they do not. They avoid paying taxes, send their money to off shore accounts and businesses registered on P.O boxes in Switzerland, levy their wealth to make it easier for them to make more wealth either through corruption or influencing politics, fuck over the competition to create monopolies, insider trading, underhanded deals, you name it. All while pulling the ladder up behind them and spitting at anyone who isnt willing to fuck people over for a buck or anyone they deem beneath them.
To them, life and everything in it is a zero sum game and they'll sure as hell make it as hard as possible for anyone else to have a tenth of what they have.
The worst part about it is that behind closed doors, they brag about it. If you've ever had the misfortune of being around a family like this, where the husband fucked everyone he knew over for a share or an opportunity, the wife is just some washed up former model or from a rich family herself who loathes him and they have a few kids who are so emotionally malladjusted the two avenues they have in life is hard drugs or becoming an even worse version of their father/mother.
Are there rich people who created their wealth through honest means? yes, of course there are and I wish there were more of them, but they are few and far between.
