Who else here refuses to watch trailers and loves going into movies totally blind?

Couldn't agree more OP, nothing ruins a movie more then watching a trailer. All trailers are exactly the same also the formula hasn't changed since the dawn of time

I get they are good for marketing but there has to be other ways.

I remember the trailer to How to Train Your Dragon 2 spoiling the whole goddamn movie. The appearance of Hiccup's mom would have been a fantastic surprise. But no surprises allowed!

Just watch trailers, they are the higher art form and decidedly what movies are made for

That's a dangerous game. I almost went to see "The Brutalist" thinking it's a gangster film.

Here's my trick for trailers (I call them previews, suck it!) is this: watch about 30 seconds of it and turn it off. You'll know if you want to see the film in that time and you won't see any spoilers.

I read the entire story before watching anything. Not just the synopsis, i get all the details. Watching is more of a formality.

I started doing that a long time ago. A trailer for a good movie is just spoiling the story and reveals of most of the movie. A trailer for a bad movie is a pointless waste of time.

Sadly there haven't been any good movies for quite some time now so it barely matter anymore.
