I was in good shape in high school, got less active in college due to drinking and depression, then let myself go in my mid 20s and became a tired and inflexible fat fuck. Got motivated again at 28 and quit drinking, started eating better, and started working out consistently. By 29 I was in the best shape I'd ever been. Yeah I'm not where I could have been if I stayed in shape my whole life, but you can make huge improvements and feel really good about yourself after long periods of fucking around.
Mild weightlifting and flexibility training (i.e. yoga without the faggy "namaste" bullshit) can absolutely reverse years of sedentary lifestyle, even in middle age. The best time to do it is now.
