Dinosaurs on a plane could have been fun

3 is such a weirdly shot movie. Joe Johnston is a pro but this movie goes between looking really good especially the scenes in the aviary to looking like a made for television movie. The scene in the beginning where the clouds part only for the crew of the boat to be gone is just goofy. I blame the script.

The third one annoyed me in every way, and made me wish that the dinosaurs had gotten them with all of the stupid shit they did. The very premise was retarded with "sure we let our son go paragliding over a dinosaur-infested island with a friend!" And it's funny how they found absolute zero weapons left behind by all the goons who got eaten in the second movie.

Weapons in most of these movies are a are a suspension of disbelief thing since there's just no way people wouldn't gun every single dino down. Especially the goons in the 2nd movie against the raptors and T-rex. I get it if there's 1-2 armed goons who get taken out without firing but to have a large armed group die without laying waste through that entire grassfield was annoying.

The sequels have no excuse as well. Those dinos would've been slaughtered within seconds, Though they did have a scene where the pajeet CEO sends in non-lethal weaponry cause he doesn't want the oc rex killed.

They were sent specifically to capture dinosaurs, so of course they were armed. Yeah it was annoying that they didn't show more use of said guns, though. A fucking T-rex walks into a camp, and everyone just stands there screaming. Paco who first saw it while taking a piss should have pulled out a gun, and what should have woken everyone up was the gunfire.

A lot of his films are clearly going for a Spielberg tone especially with the Rocketeer and October Sky and he just about pulls it off. If you told me The Lost World was directed by Spielberg I probably wouldn't know.

Eh.Spielberg prefers to have at least one kid who's annoying as fuck. That wasn't the case in JP3. Instead it was the parents (especially the wife). And Spielberg prefers movies that leave you having a sense of a finished ending. The climactic final battle in JP3 was too shitty for that. ALL animals instinctively run from fire, and the velociraptors letting them live in exchange for the eggs is just plain retarded.
