My theory is the Engineers found a mostly barren universe, found the aliens, used the black goo from aliens to create their technology so they could adapt to planets and then used it to seed life. The strength of the alien is that it has ultimate adaptability because of it's use of hosts etc.

So far I'm more interested in the progression of the "kids" than anything else. This is a really shit Alien project but in terms of general sci-fi watching synths with children's human thought algorithms react to pleasing those in charge, being manipulated and finding their own purpose or slowly go mad, I find pretty entertaining. i don't know this is the direction the show is going to go but monsters to me are just a catalyst for a show about the AI going rogue and taking the company from their creator.

We don't know what brand Kirsh is.
Don't make the mistake of thinking that all synths are the same.
I'm not saying that in a "Don't be rayciss" way, I'm saying it in the way that Kirsh is clearly a Prodigy synth, while Ash, David, Bishop, were all WY synths.
While there may be similarities, not all synths are super strong battle machines.
They seem to use a similar whitish blood, but motor oils are similar in their appearance, but not in their performance.
Some kinds are more expensive than others, and used for different purposes.
Some have more autonomy, some are near mindless machines.
If you bought a female synth to be a girlfriend, it'd be much cheaper to buy a synth that didn't have all of the upgrades or intelligence that a warrior or scientist synth would need.
