I liked it whenever it was actually about the thriller aspect, manhunt, gearing up and operating etc. Whenever it was about Asian reporter Tricia Takanawa's moral crusade or family issues I just tuned out. One problem with shows that need a badass lead character is they usually bitchify the villains to make him look better. It's an old trick but unnecessary, what writers don't seem to understand is someone's badass credentials are also defined by their opponents. When the only people they fight are fucking losers it undermines them, it doesn't help. I felt that way with the first season. Everyone he fought, even other SEALs, MARSOC and all that were worthless idiots. Somehow the random Mexican agent looked the best of them, even he got dumpstered.
