Your ability to draw comes from your ability to see properly in your mind your result and put it to paper. It's the refining of both your mind and your eyes. You can be good at technical shapes and lighting, but that isn't art yet.

Because it’s way bigger job to shoot an entire season than it is to shoot single episode. It’s more efficient to have multiple directors on a show because you’re shooting basically every day, the camera has to keep rolling. Multiple directors means you can focus on your episode rather than juggling several ones at once.

And TV shows is how lots of actors get to try directing because you don’t have to spend months/years trying to finance and make your original film project. Instead the show infrastructure already exists, you don’t have to deal with that and can focus just on the creative side.
