What was the point of the movie? It's just a big nothing burger. Not particularly exciting, funny, scary or profound. A long flat line.

The hype surrounding this and Sinners is baffling to me.

Sinners makes sense. White women love Black men.

Both it and sinners are overrated. Weapons is overrated because most of the praise comes from people who usually don't watch horror and think it's some mind-blowing thing.
Sinners is overrated because of the whole killing KKK members thing.

It's a horror mystery/thriller I guess? whats the point of any movie? to entertain you, do you need some cheap political allegory to be satisfied?

Is it more of a thriller than a horror? From the trailer, I got a sense of it going for body horror and jump scares.

he's fucking with you. it's centered around the mystery of the kids disappearing, theres some jump scares but it's not very scary overall. like less scary than the ring

I look far more handsome at 32 than I did at 18. My 21-25 year old coworkers mistake me for ~24 often. Even with the natural gift of youth, if you're not taking care of yourself or eating right, you can actually vastly improve your looks as you age. For instance it helps that I don't eat total shit anymore, regularly exercise, and haven't drank in 4+ years. Then again, I am just naturally, painfully attractive; I may be an outlier, but I doubt it. There's no reason to be unattractive at 35, most people have just given up for years by then.

Julia barely looks older, it's a makeup/hairstyle impact. She'd look very different without mascara. She could straighten her hair again, that's a pretty look, and maybe up her skincare game around the eyes? But she's undeniably pretty either way, she doesn't really "need" to do much.

kek my mom texted me last night she was watching Longlegs because she heard it was super scary. Two hours later I get, "That was dumb."
Every modern horror movie is the same. Overhyped and just silly.

how the host parasite bodies contort awkwardly. her makeup and appearance. the scene with the bedroom door.

First two acts are great. Good writing, acting, editing, directing. Third act is a joke.

Should’ve focused more on Garner and Brolin and the kid, we didn’t need full segments from the other characters’ perspectives

it's good, not great. There is a fallacy on here that if something is over-hyped it's somehow bad as a consequence. It's not, it's just not a 9 or 10.

Listen: I know this may be hard to believe, but some of us are handsome, take care of ourselves, and can talk to women without spilling spaghetti. I get stares from hot women daily and can make them blush with an opener.

You are simply incorrect, anon, and I gotta say this is a bonafide case of projection, my friend. Best of luck finding your shower and a gym.

meh even thats kinda weak on closer examination. right off the bat i thought the opening was a bit too long. yes i get it kids are running through yards. and then anons have brought up how retarded it all is how the school sees whacko makeup grandma and zombified state parents, accompanying the only child left after 17 of his peers got abducted. and they react with moderate suspicions, search the house once and leave her be.
even if it was some kind of IT clown level powerful effect over the town, none of thats established besides the one allusion to it with james seeing her while not being related to the kids otherwise.
