its weird to be dismissive, theres actually no reason these days really to go to a publisher and pay them a bunch of money to do marketing for you. you can publish for free these days, like actually free. amazon will just print it out on demand from your pdf file and takes a fee.

basically the author just hates jews and irony fag poisoning which is what society eventually became. he hated redditors before reddit existed. the world is now redditified. so hes profound. just unfortunate he was such a genius too so his work has a high barrier of entry, you might love the synopsis i just gave but getting enjoyment out of it in the form of the book is more like a chore than an activity.

There's just a lot in Infinite Jest that parallel the modern america. "Screen & Entertainment" addiction. I can't tell you every detail. There's a weird contrast between masculinity & coddling people, emphasis on sports, addictions to psychedelics, the many of the characters in this world act slightly autistic. The books just spooky.
