I don't hate the movie, I saw it in the 00s when people still talked about it, and I just didn't get why people liked it. Seemed like an overtly artsy try hard movie. Yeah it's got some pretty colors and scenes, and the actress is cute, that's about it. I'd wager very few people who have actually seen the movie can recall what it was actually about. It's more like a screensaver for your TV, no point beyond the aesthetic.

I watched the film over 20 years ago with my ex, and I fucking hated it. It was one of the worst movies she got me to watch, right up there with Chicago. Just insanely foidcentric. It is based the director said he couldn't make a sequal because Paris is "too ugly now." Sad times.
