He’s just not a compelling character, never has been. Batman and Spider-Man are the definitive American superheroes, period

Superman 2025 and MoS were both good. So fuck off.

He comes from what might be the lowest form of art. Comics have no potential. He was the original and he was created from the ground up for comics. His very essence is tied with the medium and so he shares a similar quality ceiling.

That’s Batman. Batman is the most ridicules character with so much plot armor and the gayest fanboys. “Batman could kick Godzilla’s ass muh prep time”

Terry McGuinness is the DC hero with the most potential because he was created from the ground up for the animation medium.

Characters like Ben 10, The PPG, Ladybug and Cat Noir, you can do so much more with. See the pattern here?

the core elements like kryptonite, his suit and so on are pretty silly
you have to rework the story to be good but it's not really superman anymore
Anonymous No.214059764
superman was always a lame superhero, totally boring

Why does Goku always beat these allegations? He doesn’t have a clear weakness like kryptonite. He is the strongest fighter now in the multiverse. And he always pulls a transformation out of his ass when he’s losing.

It's just Batman wankers. He can just as easily die to a piss stained, rusty shiv if the writer decides he should. Would make way more sense than him punching well above his weight class.

Whis, Beerus, and Broly are stronger. Beast Gohan and Orange Piccolo are same level

Because Goku is rarely overpowered relative to his opponents. Only trash opponents like Nappa or the Ginyu Force.
In fact his enemies are usually stronger than him.
He was weaker than Raditz, Vegeta, and Freeza.
The first two he "wins" with outside assistance and he only beat Freeza with an asspull powerup at the last second after having outside assistance buy him time to heal from being beaten by fucking Ginyu.
He doesn't beat anyone after Freeza. The Androids, Cell, and Buu all kick his ass.

>/tv/ is so much contrarian that they don't even acknowledge superman 1978 is a good movie
Anonymous No.214062092
The character is unbelievably shallow and boring. His villains either have to use his strength against him, bonk even harder than him, or use that gayass kryptonite. His movies mostly fucking suck, All Star is the best and that is just okay. Superman is only enjoyable when the writers giganerf him, let him interact with other superheroes and their superior villains, and let him show anger. Basically DCAU with JL/JLU, as well as the few BTAS/STAS crossover episodes like against Bane. The problem with that is Justice League movies are always terrible, because you can't squeeze that big of a cast into a single movie.

MAWS tried to appeal to the young modern anime enthusiast. Can’t say if it worked because I didn’t get past the second episode.

Superman is simply a product of his time. He ascended(descended?) to mythological status. Now we’re seeing characters based on his mythology. Metroman, Homelander, Invincible, etc.

For further understanding, delve into why Salkind fired Donner and replaced him with Lester. Simply glancing at Lester's wikipedia page should tell you everything you need to know.

Pretty sure superman literally fights the nazis in some of the early comics. I mean he was invented in 1933.
